Welcome to Cliff Haven, a lakeside community in Plattsburgh, New York.Cliff Haven is home to about 230 families located in Plattsburgh, New York on the shore of Lake Champlain. It has a rich history including the site of the nationally known Catholic Summer School of America between the 1890s and the 1940s. While home to the Catholic Summer School, Cliff Haven was visited by U.S. Presidents McKinley and Taft, Vice President Hobart, Congressional Speaker Joseph Cannon and Theodore Roosevelt as Governor of New York. When the Catholic Summer School closed following WWII, the property was acquired for development by "Cliff Haven Estates" and the first homes were built in 1956. Many of these homes house Air Force Base personnel when the Plattsburgh Air Force Base was in existence. The Cliff Haven Homeowners Association is responsible for managing the Cliff Haven Beach property, working with local government on issues which affect the residents, and promoting a sense of community. It has been in existence since May of 1958. There are important voluntary dues to help maintain this Association's ability to function as a viable entity in the immediate community and in the greater Town of Plattsburgh area. We invite you to explore this site to learn more about Cliff Haven's rich past, the region in which it is located, and to stay up-to-date on events and issues involving the neighborhood and the Cliff Haven Homeowners Association. Welcome to Cliff Haven!
